Album Review:The Field - Looping State of Mind

Added to my list of favourite electronic albums this year is The Field's Looping State of Mind, which joins Mux Mool's Drum EP 2 and Eddie C's Parts Unknown.    The producer behind The Field is Stockholm's Axel Willner and he has created something that follows the blanketing loops of Orbital, the wondrous drone of Bowery Electric, the deliberate modern beats of Childproof Man, and the occasional quietude of Jon Kennedy.    Even with two of his seven songs exceeding ten minutes in length, you won't want to miss a single deliberate loop in The Field's expansive tracks.    Local DJs take note.
